What goes into this estimate?
Facility & equipment
The leading-edge logic preset assumes ISO 3, 420 ft² of cleanroom per tool, and $9M per process tool. Your capacity implies 1,350 tools and 1,485 CleanPipe connections.
Conventional cleanroom area is 567,000 ft². CleanPipe process area is modeled at 70% of that footprint, with a 1.55× gross-building factor (615,195 ft² total). CleanPipe uses an existing industrial shell; a new fab includes land and new construction.
Cost & schedule assumptions
Both paths include utilities, water treatment, material handling, design, contingency, process tools, and hook-up. Regional construction and labor factors apply. Connection pricing is an editable assumption, not a published offer.
Schedules scale with tool count and overlapping phases. CleanPipe installation assumes 8 connections per crew per month and 4–80 crews. First production follows qualification; full output takes additional ramp time.
Annual facility operations
Includes energy, nitrogen, water, consumables, maintenance, and facility labor at full output, operating 8,760 hours per year. CleanPipe assumes 5 kW and 0.4 Nm³/h of nitrogen makeup per connection, and annual service at 3.5% of connection capital.
The model assumes CleanPipe replaces the conventional cleanroom and its nitrogen plant. Process-specific gas requirements and facility suitability need project review.
Scope of the model
Adapted from Aerogen’s fab economics simulator. These planning assumptions have not been independently validated for your facility. All values use constant 2026 USD.
Excludes financing, taxes, incentives, inflation, depreciation, direct production labor and materials, and process-tool operating costs. No revenue, yield uplift, or return on investment is included. A scenario can show higher CleanPipe costs.
